A Memorable Encounter Let me take you back to a summer a few years ago when I decided to spend some time in Paris. It was my first trip to France, and I was both excited and nervous. I had been studying French for a couple of years, but I worried about how well I could communicate.On my second day, I found myself wandering through the charming streets of Montmartre. The sun was shining, and the scent of freshly baked croissants filled the air. As I approached a quaint little café, I felt an overwhelming urge to practice my French. With a deep breath, I stepped inside.When it was my turn to order, I confidently said, “Bonjour! Je voudrais un café et une croissant, s'il vous plaît.” To my delight, the barista smiled widely and responded in French! We ended up having a delightful conversation about the best places to visit in Paris. That moment was not just about ordering coffee; it was a connection—a bridge built through language. Why French Resonates with Me What I love most about French is its musicality and elegance. The way words flow together feels like poetry in motion. Each phrase carries history and emotion, making even simple conversations feel profound.Moreover, learning French has opened doors to understanding French literature, cinema, and cuisine—each an art form in its own right. Whether it’s savoring a classic novel by Victor Hugo or enjoying a film by François Truffaut, the language enriches every experience. So... My love for French goes beyond mere words; it’s about connection, culture, and creativity. Every time I hear someone speak it or engage with it myself, I am reminded of that sunny day in Montmartre and how language can truly bring people together.I’d love to hear your stories! Hi guys, my name is Nicholas, and I wanted to share a bit about my experience learning Latin American Spanish through LSC. As someone who grew up in New York, I’ve always been surrounded by diverse cultures and all types of different languages. I as a latin American person I have really found great comfort in my culture. I remember the first time I attended a street festival in New York's Spanish Harlem. The music, the food, and the energy were truly incredible. It made me realize how important it is to connect with people through their language, through our language. That's why I decided to learn Latin American Spanish through LSC. LSC's focus on Latin American Spanish has been a game-changer for me. After learning the basics in the general spansih classes, I decided to continue with the intermediate level, specifically in Latin American Spanish. Here’s why it’s been so awesome: First and foremost would definitely that the intermediate level offers real-life conversation practice. For example, we had a session where we practiced ordering food at a Latin American restaurant. Now, I can confidently order my favorite dish, “arroz con pollo,” without any hesitation! 😎 Also!!! LSC doesn’t just teach the language; it dives into the culture. During one class, we learned about different Latin American holidays like Día de los Muertos and how they're celebrated. It’s fascinating to see the rich traditions behind the language. The intermediate level classes are super interactive. We played a game where we had to use Spanish to navigate a virtual Latin American city. It felt like a mini-adventure, and it helped me learn directions and local phrases. The LSC community is amazing. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging. We have group chats where we share tips, resources, and even memes in Spanish! It makes learning fun and engaging. If you’re wanting to learn Spanish or continuing your Spanish journey, I highly recommend choosing the Latin American Spanish track with LSC.
